Course objectives and contents
Over the last years, the concept of sustainability has gained importance. In times of climate change, resource depletion and economy crisis, sustainability is being considered as more and more important and is not only discussed in policy, but also in industry.

This course gives an introduction to sustainability and covers the following issues:
- Definition
- Historical development, international conferences, political issues and initiatives
- Sustainable Buildings: certification systems, especially DGNB
- Criteria and assessment
- Sustainability in companies
- Tools
